This heart rate monitor requires two lithium metal batteries which are already included in it and the average battery life is one year, if used for half an hour daily. Once the batteries expire, they can easily be replaced.

Smart Coaching can easily and accurately calculate the calories used up during training or fitness session, based on the user’s age, gender, weight, height, heart rate and the particular training session.
Users can set their own target zones according to the training regime they are pursuing. These targets can be set as percentage of maximum heart beats or beats per minute.
If the user goes beyond the preset target zones, there will be a visual and audible alarm to inform the user by the training computer.
The Graphical Target Zone Indicator helps the users stay on the intensity zone of their choice by graphically displaying the zone the user is currently in, during the training session.
To make sure that there is no interference from other training computers, there is the feature of POLAR Own Code. It is a coded transmission that automatically locks in a code to send the user’s heart rate to the same user wearing the training computer.
To help its users easily keep track of their fitness regime, the information from the most recent training session is available to the user in the memory of the training computer until the user records a new training session. The maximum heart rate and average heart rate from the latest training session will be available to the user.
