I was amazingly pleased with the Ingenuity InTrust 35 Pro Infant Car seat. This is because my baby fit just right in her seat, even though when she was under 10lbs. the infant insert in the car seat did a great job of holding my baby in place and positioning her correctly within the seat. Whenever I use the seat, I move the headrest and harness low enough and her shoulders then barely come above the harness click in the bottom. Although she fixes right in, she still has room between the harness strap and her hips and it keeps her from slouching to the side.

How to Choose the Best Infant Car Seat
Are you wondering how to choose the best infant car seat? Buying the right one for your child can prove to be a challenging experience, especially with so many brands, types and sizes available. Over the last few years, car seat technology has taken a huge leap making it more difficult but important to select the right one. If you are an expectant mother or already have a small child, safety is always a major consideration when buying a seat. So, how do you make sure that you are making the right purchase?
• Choose a seat that fits your baby
When you look around online stores, you will see a huge difference in infant car seats. You need proper judgment when it comes to size and weight limits. Consider your child’s age, height and weight before buying a seat. It’s important to read the descriptions provided carefully before purchasing so as to get a good idea about different specifications. For newborns and infants, rear-facing seats are recommended. If your child has reached the maximum weight or capacity of the car seat, or reached at least two years, it is more suitable to buy forward facing seats.
• Does it fit well in your car?
Compatibility problems between car seats and different cars are very common. Infant car seats that are deep with a large base can be hard to fit at the back of smaller cars. Every seat you find on sale has different dimensions. It’s highly recommended that you try before you buy. If you can’t do an actual testing, be sure to read the recommended placements and measurements for your type of car. What matters most is having enough space between the car seat and the front seat.
• Consider the ease of installation and use
Does the seat’s design make it easy for you to install and use? It is estimated that up to 90% of infant car seats are being used improperly. Different issues can affect how you install and use a seat, from the installation process to the layout provided in the instruction manual to how clear the labels are in the seats. It’s a good idea to check out different seats on sale from various brands. The most important things to learn are how buckling and unbuckling the harness is done, how to tighten and loosen up the harness and how to adjust the harness height. Knowing how the seat works is the key to finding the right one that’s easy to use.
• Seat comfort
Select a seat that is comfortable for you and your baby. You will be carrying the sit around a lot, so you need to be sure if the seat you’re buying is a manageable load for you. Some seats are heavier than others while others come with handles that are more comfortable than others. Try out different types of infant car seats to see which one suits you best. For your baby’s comfort, choose a seat with breathable fabrics and one that is fairly reclined for good airflow.
• How much should you spend?
This is a question that is on top of every parent’s mind. While you should budget for a child’s car seat, you should be more concerned about quality than price. Get the best you possibly can. High-quality seats have high safety ratings and comply with the latest regulations. Understanding these tips will get you started on how to choose the best infant car seat.
